Persatuan Kebajikan Tatwamasi (PPS) Seremban, Negeri Sembilan

Swamiye saranam Ayyappa.

Everything that happens in this life has its reason behind it. And only the mighty him knows the exact reason. The same goes for the formation of Persatuan Kebajikan Tatwamasi (PPS). Negeri Sembilan has a huge number of ayyappa devotees, and usually, during 1st Kaartigai most of them will be wearing maalai at Bahau Saamundeswari Temple. It will be a huge occasion. Sekaran gurusamy and his fellow Samis also wear maalai at Bahau Saamundeswari Temple.

In the year 2007, Srikanth Sami proposed to Sekaran Gurusamy about wearing maalai at Kanni Temple, Seremban. Kanni Temple has a separate history. At top of the Kanni Temple hill, there was a small ayyappa Sannithanam, built by wood and zinc alone. Without hesitation, Sekaran gurusamy also agreed and starts working towards it. There were many repairs and maintenances to be done before Kaartigai 1st. This is to ensure all the pooja and maalai wearing ceremony can be conducted in a comfortable and safe environment. So Sekaran gurusamy formed a group called, Persatuan Penganut Sastha (PPS). PPS managed to get help from authorities and donations/support from many donors. With the grace of ayyappa, 2007, and 2008 Kaartigai 1st, Sekaran gurusamy lead other Sami's for maalai wearing ceremony at Kanni Temple, Seremban.

In 2009, PPS conducted 1st Kubhabishegam for Ayyappa temple in Kanni Temple, Seremban. PPS brought Nambothiris from Kerala, India to do all the rituals as to how it's been done in Sabarimalai, Kerala. From then till today, most of the Seremban ayyappa devotees will wear maalai and even complete their local pilgrimage here in Ayyappa Temple, Kanni temple, Seremban. Thanks to the initiative by Sekaran Gurusamy and his PPS team.

In 2013, another milestone was set by PPS by building 18 holy steps at Ayyappa temple, Kanni Temple, Seremban. The 18 holy steps were built with the exact height and width as in Sabarimalai. And even PPS hired master builders from Kerala, India for detailed work on the steps.
